What is a KOT?
A Kitchen Order Ticket is the digital version of the old kitchen docket. Instead of a server walking an order to the kitchen, the order appears on a screen or prints automatically the moment a guest orders.
Why it reduces mistakes
Handwritten dockets get smudged, dropped or misread. A KOT shows exact items, modifiers (spice level, no onion, extra cheese) and course timing, so the kitchen cooks the right thing the first time.
Servers stop acting as messengers and can focus on the guest.
